Guilford County Court Dates: How to Find and Track Yours

The CourtDelta Team CourtDelta Team

Guilford County is home to Greensboro and High Point, and its court system is one of the busier ones in the state. If you have a case here, here is how to find your court date and make sure you are always looking at the current one.

How to Find Your Guilford County Court Date

Guilford County court dates are available for free through the NC eCourts Portal. No account needed.

Go to nccourts.gov/court-dates and click Search, then select Smart Search. Enter your name in this exact format:

Last, First, for example: Doe, John

One comma after your last name. Only add a space and your middle name if you want to narrow the results. Typing your name any other way, like “John Doe,” will not return a match even if your case is active.

Complete the reCAPTCHA and hit Submit. Your upcoming Guilford County hearings will show up along with your case number, the assigned courthouse, and whether you are in District or Superior Court. Write down your case number before you leave the page.

Where Are Guilford County Courts Located?

Guilford County is unusual in that it runs two separate courthouses instead of one central location:

  • Greensboro Courthouse: 201 South Eugene Street, Greensboro, NC 27401
  • High Point Courthouse: 505 E Green Drive, High Point, NC 27260

Which courthouse handles your case depends on where the underlying incident happened and how the case was filed. Your citation or summons will tell you which one to go to, and it will also show up in your eCourts Portal search results. Do not assume, since showing up at the wrong courthouse can cost you the whole day.

Why Guilford Court Dates Change More Than You’d Like

With two courthouses splitting a high volume of traffic, misdemeanor, and civil cases, continuances are common in Guilford County. A court date you looked up last month may not be the one that is actually on the calendar today.
